AMO Studios was founded in 2011 as a project to reclaim space for artists. We experimented with the notion of a multi-purpose space as a curatorial social practice. As a collective of 6, we provided exhibition and studio space based on an open proposal system. During our three year run, we hosted exhibitions, performances, lectures, fashion shows, and dinner parties. Collaboration over competition is our mission.

AMO studios began at 55 Waterbury Street in Brooklyn in 2011. After 2 years, we moved on to 106 Eldridge Street for a 6 month experiment in fast paced programming which culminated on August 1, 2014. This is our archive of that experience.
